10-day ensemble forecast
What you are looking at. A 10-day global forecast from Google DeepMind's WeatherNext 2, an AI weather model. We ran 8 ensemble members (4 checkpoints × 2 noise samples) on a single consumer GPU, starting from the ECMWF IFS analysis. Maps show the ensemble mean; point forecasts and cyclone tracks show every member, so you can see how sure the forecast is.
Resolution. The model runs at 0.25°; this page streams 0.5° fields every 6 hours. Motion between 6-hour steps is interpolated.
Experimental. WeatherNext 2 is a research model. This is not an official forecast or warning; follow your national weather service.
